For the 45th year, the international music market taking place in Cannes from January 22nd to 26th,
honors its host country, France.
Concerts, professional meetings and conferences occur under the slogan "French Vibes".
An opening evening is scheduled on January 23rd with numerous live performances from
artists produced in France :
Cascadeur, The Chase, The Bewitched Hands, Revolver, Syd Matters, Medi, BB Brunes, Aaron, Demon or The Toxic Avenger,
to say the least. The French Minister of Culture and Communication gives an opening press conference, before another
"market" conference about innovative experiences and case studies of international successes. MIDEM has planned
many occasions for music professionals to meet, as many of them come from the USA, the UK, Germany and Japan.
"French Vibes" is an event co-organized by The French Ministry of Culture and Communication with
SACEM, SCPP, SPPF and FCM, in association with the French Music Export Office.
Generally, professionals from all music sectors (labels, publishing, live, booking, media) and
from all over the world meet every year at MIDEM to gain exposure and develop their activity. MIDEM is more than
just the companies' booths, it's also a great place of live music, with many concerts and showcases from artists
of all musical genres, and most importantly a round of conferences about the music industry's latest advancements.
Francophonie Diffusion is at the booth of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (R30.05),
